KRIS HENDRICKS, DDS

Dr. Kris W. Hendricks and his family moved to Santa Fe so he could join Dentistry for Kids. In July 2010, he purchased the office from Dr. Evans, allowing Dr. Evans to retire. Dr. Hendricks studied liberal arts and music at Brigham Young University before moving to Kansas City to begin his dental studies at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He was a four-year scholarship recipient and graduated with honors in pediatric and restorative dentistry.

Following dental school, Dr. Hendricks attended an intensive two-year hospital residency in pediatric dentistry at St. Joseph Hospital for Specialty Care in Providence, Rhode Island. During residency, he became competent in all facets of pediatric dentistry, including surgery, sedation, treatment of trauma, and orthodontics.

Dr. Hendricks is a board certified Diplomate with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association and New Mexico Dental Association. He is a staff member at St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe and Holy Cross Hospital in Taos.

Dr. Hendricks finds the relationships he develops with his patients and their families to be the best part of his work. He enjoys joking and telling children stories while he provides treatment to them. He wants his patients to enjoy their visits and develop a healthy relationship with dentistry.

As a parent of three kids, he understands the unpredictability of life with children. He tries to make himself available for his patients whenever problems arise. He believes strongly in a preventative approach to dentistry combined with the most up-to-date science and technology.

Dr. Hendricks grew up in Littleton, Colorado and is married to Ginna Hendricks. Together they have two sons, Max and Sandy; a daughter, Lucy; and a Australian Mountain Doodle, Cleo.

Dr. Gardner was born in Sacramento, California and raised in Utah. He’s been practicing dentistry for 25 years after obtaining his DDS from University of Virginia in 1996. He belongs to the American Dental Association as well as the Craniofacial Association.

His fascination with people also lead him to earn a certificate in human behavior. He has spent most of his career focusing on cosmetic and functional dentistry, even winning an award from Arrowhead lab for his contributions. Dr. Gardner is glad to be joining our community here in Santa Fe and hopes to give back.

Dr. Gardner enjoys cycling and coached the local Utah high school mountain bike team. He has four grown daughters who were national cycling champions. He likes to spend his time outdoors having fun, but also loves the movies.
